A new hotline, which will exclusively serve queries related to Takata airbag recalls, has been announced by Geo Pavlides Automotive.
It mainly concerns recalls on Mazda Demio cars
The announcement in its entirety
"Dear Mazda customers, We would like to inform you about the launch of the new hotline 22 747100, which will exclusively serve questions related to Takata airbag recalls.
The service line will start operating on December 16, 2024, from 13:00 p.m. and will be available daily from 08:00 to 18:00, as well as on weekends from 08:00 to 15:00.
For any questions or updates regarding recalls, please contact exclusively through this hotline. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
It is recalled that a few days ago, the importer and distributor of these cars proceeded to a recall of passenger airbags in Mazda Demio vehicles imported into Cyprus as used from states that are not members of the European Union.
Specifically, according to information received by Geo Pavlides Automotive from the manufacturer Mazda for Mazda Demio vehicles, which have been imported as used from countries that are not members of the European Union (without European type approval) and are included in the list posted on the website of the Department of Road Transport, are subject to recall for replacement of the Takata brand airbag in the passenger seat.
This information concerns Mazda Demio vehicles that were active, i.e. registered in force, or declared immobilized on 14/11/2024.
