The Municipality of Pafos is launching as of today the actions and procedures to bring order to the Industrial Area of the Municipality, which unfortunately today presents an image that we encounter in third world countries. This was stressed by the Deputy Mayor of Pafos, Angelos Onisiforou, who stressed to "F" that after his visit to the area last week, from today the crews of the Municipality began the cleaning works and restore legality.
Mr. Onisiforou stressed that the crews of the Municipality will continue the restoration works in the area and its improvement until all problems are resolved. The craftsmen were personally informed about this development, he stressed, and our goal is to have continuous surveillance of the area to prevent new ugliness. The Municipality, he said, will now also apply the measure of sanctions by imposing heavy extrajudicial measures for offenders, aiming not at punishing, but at consolidating the need to respect laws and regulations.
We are now building the green spaces, cleaning the sidewalks and restoring order, stressed the Deputy Mayor of Pafos, and when the situation in the Industrial Area returns to satisfactory levels, we will sit down at the table with the professionals to see their problems and find solutions.
Angelos Onisiforou also said that the many cars that have been left in the area for a long time were photographed in order to inform their owners and remove them from there.
