RAIN, THUNDERSTORMS AND HAIL FORECAST

Today, the weather will be partly cloudy in places, while local rains and isolated storms are expected, initially mainly in the coastal areas and later also in the rest of the island.

Hail is also expected to fall. Winds will be mainly southeast to southwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, however in a storm it is possible to change and strengthen.

The temperature will rise to around 24 degrees in the interior and the coasts and around 14 degrees in the higher mountains.

The forecast in detail:

Weak low pressure affects the region, while from tomorrow late evening, a cold air mass is expected, which will be accompanied by temporarily very strong to strong winds.

Today, the weather will be partly cloudy in places, while local rains and isolated storms are expected, initially mainly in the coastal areas and later also in the rest of the island. Hail is also expected to fall in a storm. Winds will be mainly southeast to southwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, however in a storm it is possible to change and strengthen. The sea will be generally calm to a little rough and locally in the west and north a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 24 degrees in the interior and the coasts and around 14 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, there will be increased clouds in places which are expected to give isolated showers, mainly on the northern coasts. Later and during the morning hours, light mist or fog is possible, mainly inland and in the east. Winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast and on the northern coast southeast, weak, 3 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 13 degrees in the interior, around 16 on the coasts and around 8 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Saturday, there will be locally increased clouds which are expected to give isolated showers. Local rains are expected from late Saturday night until Sunday morning, initially in the west and north and progressively in the rest of the island, while snow may fall in the higher mountains. The wind field will strengthen significantly and very strong to gusty winds will blow. In the afternoon and evening of Sunday, locally increased clouds are expected to give isolated rain, while in the higher mountains and locally in the lower ones, snow is expected to fall.

On Monday, locally increased clouds are expected to give isolated rains at intervals, while in the higher mountains and locally in the lower ones, snow is expected to fall. The wind field will continue to be significantly strengthened, however it will gradually weaken from the afternoon onwards.  

The temperature on Saturday will remain at the same levels, however, on Sunday it will see a noticeable drop and on Monday an insignificant change, to fluctuate below the average climatic values ​​of the season.
