As of this afternoon, the unaccompanied minors in the juvenile facility in Kato Paphos will be left without supervision by caregivers and guardians.
The workers, some of whom have been there for the last years as of today will not continue to perform their duties due to the non-renewal of the contract that covered this obligation until now.
Therefore, starting tonight, the dozens of minors or minors housed in this structure will have a unique escort or control, if you like, by the police officers covering this shift. In short, they will literally be “unaccompanied”… unaccompanied.
