Weak high pressure is affecting the area, while the barometric low "BORA" centred in the Ionian Sea is slowly moving southeast and is expected to affect the island, weakened, on Tuesday.
Today the weather will be mostly clear, but gradually locally there will be increased clouds. The winds will blow mainly northeast, weak and transient locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will rise around 20 degrees in the interior and on the coast and 12 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast, weak, 3 Beaufort and the sea will be calm to a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to 5 degrees in the interior, around 9 degrees on the coast and 4 degrees in the higher mountains, where locally frost is expected to form.
On Sunday the weather will be mostly clear, but in the afternoon there will be locally increased clouds.
On Monday the weather will gradually become partly cloudy and in the afternoon isolated rain may occur, mainly in the mountains. In the evening hours, isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly on the west and north coasts. On Tuesday, localized showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the afternoon, initially in the west and gradually in the rest of the areas.
The temperature until Tuesday is not expected to change significantly, to continue hovering close to average climatic values.
