The lost "Saw" of Rhine Stefanis was restored.
According to an announcement by the Board of Directors of the Cultural Movement 'Dependtis', after the uproar caused a few months ago – the issue was also addressed by the Parliament – the Municipality of Pafos reconstructed the sculpture and placed it on the coastal pedestrian street of the Pafos Lighthouse.
Also, the sculpture "Dancer" of the same artist has been reinstalled in Ivi Maliotou Park, outside the Pafos Municipal Art Gallery where it was previously.
However, it should be noted that two other works, the sculpture "Forêt Sacrée" by German artist Herman Pitz and a sculpture by the Turkish Cypriot artist have not yet been restored by the Municipality of Pafos. The aforementioned sculptures were created during the European Capital of Culture Pafos 2017 and were placed the first on the pedestrian street of the Lighthouse, the second at a point of view of Mouttalos.
The Board of Directors of the Cultural Movement "Dependence" appeals and expects the Pafos Municipality to restore the works as soon as possible, as it did with the "Prioni".
