With the aim of attracting and activating as many citizens as possible in the management of municipal affairs, the Municipality of East Pafos addresses an open invitation to all citizens (of the municipal districts of Geroskipou, Konia, Timi, Agia Marinouda and Acheleia) to participate in Committees established by the Municipal Council. The Municipal Committees are the following: • Committee for the Upgrading of Historic Centers & Squares • Committee on European Programs & International Relations • Committee on Social Welfare, Social Cohesion & Citizen Protection • Committee on Traffic & Parking • Youth & Sports Committee • Committee on Cultural Development & Cultural Heritage • Green & Environment Committee • Committee on Local Economy & Entrepreneurship • Committee Tourism Development • Health & Cleanliness Committee
The relevant declaration of interest is posted on the official website of the Municipality of www.geroskipou.org.cy. Interested parties may also contact the Municipal Hall or the Municipal District Offices to receive the relevant declaration of interest, during working days and hours. The deadline for submission of expressions of interest is 1 November 2024. The submission can be made either manually or electronically at the citizens@geroskipou.org.cy or at fax no. 26 961 247.
Notes 1. The participation of citizens in Municipal Committees concerns the provision of advice and expertise on various issues that concern the Municipality. 2. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. 3. Each interested party may participate in only one Municipal Committee. 4. The submission of a declaration of interest does not imply its approval by the Municipal Council of East Pafos. For each Municipal Committee, four (4) citizens will be selected, based on educational background, professional status, experience, voluntary action, etc
