JAZEERA AIRWAYS EXTENDS KUWAIT-LARNACA ROUTE YEAR-ROUND

Jazeera Airways' decision to extend the Kuwait-Larnaca route for the whole year was welcomed by Deputy Minister of Tourism Costas Koumis, who met yesterday with company officials.

According to today's announcement of the Deputy Ministry, the company also informed that it intends to use this route to further enhance the connectivity of Cyprus with the rest of the countries of the Arabian Peninsula.

Mr. Koumis met with Jazeera AirwaysArea Manager (Levantine and Egypt) Madonna Hoyek, in the presence of the Director of Sky Master, representative of Jazeera Airways company in Cyprus, Antonis Orthodoxou.

Initially, Mr. Koumis briefed on the conditions regarding the connection of Cyprus with countries in the region and the efforts made by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism to further strengthen it. He also said that the Deputy Ministry is open to dialogue and willing for cooperation, calling on stakeholders to contribute to the collective effort to upgrade and promote Cyprus as a tourist destination.

In turn, on behalf of Jazeera Airways, Mrs. Hoyek informed the Deputy Minister of Tourism about the company's decision to extend the Kuwait-Larnaca route for the whole year, as Larnaca, and Cyprus in general, are offered as year-round tourist destinations, both due to the weather conditions prevailing on the island and the experiences it offers.

Specifically, the route Kuwait – Larnaca will operate twice a week until March and then the flight schedule of the summer season will continue.

In fact, Hoyek said that Jazeera Airways plans to use this route to further enhance Cyprus' connectivity with the rest of the Arabian Peninsula.

Subsequently, the two sides discussed the possibilities and opportunities for interconnection between Cyprus and the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, as well as finding ways to further promote Cyprus as a destination in these markets.

Koumis welcomed Jazeera Airways' decision to extend the route and its intention to strengthen Cyprus' air connection. Concluding, he assured that the cooperation between the two parties will continue, pointing out that the prevailing positive mood creates optimism for achieving the desired results.
