Police have arrested another person for the attack on a foreign food distributor on Thursday evening, October 24.

According to the police, the arrest was made in the context of an investigation of a case concerning the offences of conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery, causing malicious damage, as well as offences in violation of the Combating of Certain Forms and Expressions of Racism and Xenophobia Law.

This is a 36-year-old man who was arrested on a court warrant and taken into custody.

The case concerns a complaint made last Friday 25/10/2024, by a food distributor, that on 24/10/2024, while driving his motorcycle in an area of Limassol, for food distribution, an unknown person who was also on a motorcycle, approached him and hit him with his foot, causing him to fall to the ground.

At the same time, he was overtaken by a car, which after stopping in front of him, the passenger got off, who attacked him hitting him in the face and after taking his mobile phone, threw it to the ground resulting in destruction.

The ICF Limassol continues the examinations.

According to the Police, ten minutes after midnight today, information was given about minors entering a specific premises (nightclub), which is located in the city center, in Limassol.

Immediately, members of the Limassol OPE went to the premises, where they located four minors (aged between 15-16 years) inside the premises, without being accompanied by their parent or guardian, in violation of the Leisure Centres Law.

The 36-year-old manager of the premises was summoned and came to the Minor Offences Department, at the Central Police, where he was charged in writing with this offence, so that he could later be summoned before a court.

The minors were picked up by their parents and left by the Police.

All relevant licenses of the premises, which were in force, were checked.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in Larnaca on Saturday night in an ongoing case of conspiracy, theft, illegal possession of property and drugs.

According to police, at 11.40 on Saturday night a man reported his car had been stolen on Oroklini.

Police officers went to the scene and arrested an asylum seeker aged 23 who appeared to have stolen various items from two cars which were parked outside a nearby beach hotel and a third parked at the CTO beach.

Two of the cars were unlocked, but to get into the third damages had been caused.

The items were recognised by their owners while drugs were also found on the suspect’s person.

As part of the investigation of a case concerning three cases of theft from cars in the province of Larnaca, the Police arrested a person yesterday. This is a 20-year-old man, who was arrested to facilitate investigations. The thefts were committed in the last 24 hours in the province of Larnaca, from cars parked in open spaces. During the investigation of the complaints, members of the Police (Oroklini Police Station) stopped the 20-year-old for a check, who was near the place where two of the three thefts were committed. In a physical search of him, various items were found in his possession, which he admitted were the product of theft, resulting in his arrest for the open-ended offense of illegal possession of property. The Oroklini Police Station continues the examinations.
