The Department of Public Works announced that road surface repair works will be carried out throughout the evening tonight, from 9.00pm to 5.30am tomorrow, in the area of Pafos Hospital and at the entrance next to Konia, resulting in roads and parts of the road network being closed during this period.
In particular, the works will be carried out on Ahepans Street, which leads to the hospital, as well as on a section of Archbishop Makarios Avenue, from the motorway roundabout terminal to Konia. During the execution of the works, Ahepans Street will be closed in both directions of traffic. Entrance will be allowed from Aristotelis Savva Street only for those moving to the hospital and for residents of the area. Traffic will be channelled through Tassos Papadopoulos and Dimokratias Avenues to the roundabout terminal and then via the motorway at the Geroskipou exit to Konia.
Part of Archbishop Makarios Avenue from the motorway roundabout terminal to the entrance of the community of Konia will also be closed. Traffic to and from the affected communities of Konia, Marathounta and Episkopi will be channelled through the community of Konia and the Paphos-Limassol motorway.
During the execution of the works, there will be appropriate temporary signage to channel traffic in order to minimize any inconvenience. The Department of Public Works invites the public to show the necessary understanding and comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
