Registrations begin at the Training Centres of the Ministry of Education, which are addressed to people aged 15 and over.
The program offers a variety of subjects (https://www.moec.gov.cy/epimorfotika/katalogos_thematon.html) with low tuition fees and is attended by more than 25,000 people annually.
In a statement, the Ministry of Education states:
The courses are offered in 25 meetings per year, once a week, lasting 90 minutes. Each person can follow various topics by filling in their online statement and selecting the topics they want. In order to create a section on a topic, at least 9 people must register in Rural Centres and 11 people in urban areas. Training Centers operate both in cities and in the countryside, in the morning, afternoon and evening hours, in public school buildings or other appropriate places.
The tuition fees, after approval by the Council of Ministers, are set at €55 for both the city and the countryside, for all subjects. Members who attend courses both in the city and in the countryside and were born before October 31, 1959 will pay half of the tuition fees (€27.50). In communities with a population of less than 500 inhabitants, tuition fees are set at €27,50 and for persons born before 31 October 1959 at €13,75. Tuition fees will only be paid electronically through the JCC service.
Registrations at the Training Centers will take place from 2 to 30 September 2024. Classes are expected to start in the second half of October 2024. The public is kindly requested to be informed on the website of www.moec.gov.cy/epimorfotika Training Centers.
Registrations for the various topics offered will only be made electronically through www.moec.gov.cy/epimorfotika website.
Important instructions:
– The Trainers for each topic will be determined after the end of the registration period. Subsequently, they will contact their Members directly to arrange their first meeting.
– The payment of tuition fees is made only electronically, through JCC – smart, using the registration code (JCCXXXXXXXX) for each course and only after the instruction of the Instructor.
