The Harmonized Consumer Price Index recorded an increase of 2,2% in August 2024, compared to August 2023, while compared to the previous month it increased by 0,9%. For the period January – August 2024, there was an increase of 2.3% compared to the same period last year.
Compared to August 2023, the categories Leisure and Culture (7,4%) and Restaurants and Hotels (5,6%) showed the largest positive change. Compared to July 2024, the largest changes were recorded in the categories Restaurants and Hotels (2,1%), Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (1,7%) and Transport (1,5%).
For the period January – August 2024 compared to the same period last year, the largest change was observed in the category Restaurants and Hotels (5,6%). The largest change in financial categories both compared to August 2023 (4,2%) and compared to the previous month (1,8%) was observed in the category Services.
