PAPHOS STREET FESTIVAL 26August - 1 September

The first International Street Festival in Pafos!
Cyprus will host the Pafos International Street Festival for the first time. Inspired by popular European outdoor street festivals, the first Pafos International Street Festival will be a week of family entertainment for Cypriots and tourists alike.
From August 26 to September 1, 2024 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm, there will be a wide variety of performances by 20 international artists in seven different locations along the coastal road in Kato Paphos and in two squares in the Estate (city of Paphos). Up to 28 performances are scheduled each day for seven consecutive days, creating one of the biggest events ever in Cyprus!

Remarkable artists, such as Paul Morocco & Olé from USA, Schuberth & Kapeller from Austria, Domenyk La Terra from Australia, Kwabana Lindsay from Britain, Duo Santus from France and others, will delight the audience with music, dance, acrobatics, juggler, horse riding, comedy acts, fire shows, and more. What is noteworthy is that artists will come from all five continents!
This festival will be open to all (no tickets required). It will be a multi-day festival where the attendees will decide at the end of each performance what they will pay each artist. Performances in public places with tips, the “hat tradition (or busking)”, have been around in Europe for centuries. The contribution of each audience member is traditionally given in a hat passed among the attendees at the end of the performance.
The festival is held with the support of the Municipality of Pafos and the sponsorship of several local organizations and businesses, such as The American University of Beirut Mediterraneo, Neapolis University, Caffe Nero, Pafos Zoo, Island Blue, Dionysos Central Hotel, Sofianna Hotel & Resort, Anemi Hotel & Suites, Mayfair Hotel & Gardens, Restaurant Dimokritos, and of others. Plus, during the festival, a group of local volunteers will be on hand to answer questions that passers-by may have and ensure that the Festival runs smoothly.
On Saturday, August 31, at 10:00 pm, as part of the Festival, a special performance will take place with many artists together, at the Baths location, to raise funds for the Paphos Cancer Support Group. Then a party with dancing and music will follow with Cypriot DJ Hadjimike until the morning hours.

This is a HAT festival, which means that there is no entrance ticket. If you like a show, you simply put as much money into the HAT of the performing artist!
