East Pafos Municipality announces that as of September 1, 2024, it will start a campaign for the removal of abandoned vehicles on public roads or open public and private spaces, in all municipal districts, in accordance with article 120 of the Municipalities Law 2022.
The removal of abandoned vehicles is considered necessary for the restoration of the proper functioning of the Municipality (release of parking spaces, sidewalks and public spaces in general), the beautification of neighbourhoods, the treatment of pollution hotspots, as well as the improvement of the image of the area.
The process of informing the owners of these vehicles has already begun by affixing notices on the abandoned vehicles. With these notifications, owners are asked to move their vehicles within a specific deadline. In case of non-compliance, the Municipality will proceed with the implementation of the provisions of the relevant law.
