Update - Filenews
Police now have a clear picture of what exactly happened behind the brutal murder of the two men who were found charred at dawn on Wednesday, in a burning vehicle in the "Litovounos" area of the Limassol district. The investigators of the ICF of Limassol, as Philenews learns, have put together important pieces of the puzzle.
With methodical moves, the investigators of the ICF of Limassol managed to obtain information and testimonies in relation to the perpetrators of the murder, proceeding last night to the arrest of two young persons, aged 19 and 23.
As Philenews is aware, in the hands of the authorities there is CCTV footage of a gas station that records the two suspects shortly before the vehicle was found burned, putting gasoline in a can and a bottle. The vehicle in which they went to the petrol station, according to the same information, is driven by the 19-year-old.
Under interrogation, the two suspects implicate themselves in the double crime and make various allegations. The same information states that the two youths blame each other.
As for their relationship with the 39-year-old Kouzoupis, they seem to have been friendly faces.
The two are expected to be brought before the Limassol District Court at around 10:30 a.m. for a request for detention. It should be noted that in a search of one person's home, a shotgun was located and received as evidence, which is expected to be sent for scientific and other examinations.
The motive behind the murder appears to have been financial differences, but not for a significant amount. As for the location of the double murder, it is estimated to be very close to the scene where the two victims were found charred.

With a 10-year prison sentence, the curtain has come down on another horrific case of sexual abuse of an underage girl perpetrated by her own brother. What was raised during the hearing held before the Permanent Assize Court of Limassol is horrifying and appalling.

In closed proceedings, the defendant was found guilty on 28 charges, including rape of a minor, exploitation of a child in violation of Article 2, 10 and 12 of the Combating and Trafficking and Exploitation of Persons, Law 87 (I)2007, where the offence of incest. The defendant did not admit any charges he faced and the case went to a hearing.
The shocking case, with the victim and perpetrator being brothers, and its details are shocking. As philenews wrote in a report on 10/7, the horrific offenses against the victim occurred for two years, in the years 2012 to 2014, when the victim was 9 years old and her accused brother, at the age of 15.
What the underage girl experienced for two years at the hands of her brother causes goosebumps. In its sentencing, the Assize Court found the prosecution witnesses credible, as was the victim, unlike the defence witnesses who were found not to have knowledge of the facts.
The nightmares the victim experienced for two years and at the tender age of 9, from her then 15-year-old brother, she confided during her sessions with a psychologist when she was 18 years old.
