A 21-year-old Greek Cypriot man was arrested by police last night. He was driving under the influence of drugs.
A small amount of cannabis was also found in his possession. Also in the vehicle was a Ukrainian woman who was released without charge.

In the context of an evaluation of relevant information received by Interpol, members of the Pafos ICF proceeded to the arrest of a wanted person.
He is a 71-year-old man from a European country who had a European Arrest Warrant pending for committing criminal drug offences and other offences.
The 71-year-old was arrested at around 5pm yesterday under a provisional arrest warrant and remanded in custody pending the start of extradition proceedings.
The ICF Pafos continues the examinations.

Members of the Limassol OPE stopped a car driven by a 30-year-old man for inspection at around 7.30 yesterday afternoon on Agios Athanasios Avenue.
During the subsequent check, he was found in possession of 25 packets of tobacco and he was arrested for the offence of illegal possession of duty-free tobacco products.
This was followed by a search of the 30-year-old's apartment in Limassol where 71 boxes containing a total of 719 packets of cigarettes were found, as well as 22 boxes containing a total of 110 packets of tobacco. All the above were received as evidence since they are duty-free tobacco products.
Subsequently, the 30-year-old was released from detention while the investigation of the case was undertaken by the Department of Customs and Excise.
