Following yesterday's announcement by the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO), the Police Headquarters informs that an investigation is underway in relation to a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal project, for possible criminal offences, following instructions given by the EPPO.
The investigation is carried out by an investigation team of the Financial Crime Prosecution Subdirectorate (YDOE) of the Police Headquarters, under the supervision of the EPPO.
No further details can be mentioned at the investigation stage of this case, as stated in the EPPO Statement, so as not to affect the investigative work in any way.
