The witch Freakadella hates everything that is good…. especially… Christmas carols! When children sing them at Christmastime she gets furious and turns them into frogs, ducklings, kittens and other animals. Still, even in their new form, children keep on singing the Carols. After various adventures, the children manage to change Freakandella’s mind and heart…   Τhe Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the ΣymhpoΠedia Choir and the actor Petros Georkadjis bring to life this witty Christmas story by Evgenios Trivizas, under the direction of the CySO honourary conductor and composer, Alkis Baltas.

The soundtrack that accompanies the narration consists of excerpts from various classical works (by Mussorgsky, Borodin, Mozart, Mendelssohn, a.o.), as well as brief new compositions by Alkis Baltas, who took various Greek carols (Crete, Corfu, Macedonia, Cyprus) and arranged them for chorus and orchestra.
