Estimates of an increased flow of tourists from Russia to Cyprus are recorded in the media of the vast country.
The official data released by the company Russian Express are indicative and are republished on a number of informative websites dealing with the tourism industry. Based on the data before it, this organization predicts that at least through its own bookings more than 5,000 Russian citizens will come to Cyprus for holidays.
The general manager of Russian Express, Anna Filatovskaya, in a relevant report (rata news) refers to the data, noting that there are currently two flights a week to Cyprus through her company's arrangements.
In fact, according to what he said, the flow of tourists from Russia will continue in the autumn. "Reservations are for the whole summer season, while several applications have already been made for September and October," she said.
According to Filatovskaya, compared to last year, in 2023, the interest of Russians to vacation in Cyprus is noticeably increased. It should be noted that Russian Express for the second consecutive year arranges the travel of Russians to our island through the carrier Jazeera Airways.
"We expect to work successfully during the summer season, sending around five thousand tourists to Cyprus – more than in summer 2023. Among them there will be many repeat customers, and this is the main indicator of Russian confidence in our flight schedule to the island." Anna Filatovskaya adds that issuing visas for Russians traveling to Cyprus is not time-consuming at all.
It should be noted that last year Cyprus had 65,000 tourists from Russia, while by the end of June about 20,000 tourists have come to our island from this country.
