The installation of photovoltaics in military camps and other facilities of the National Guard begins in September and is completed in 2027, as part of the Government's broader policy to promote green energy, as stated today by the competent Minister, Vasilis Palmas.
In statements after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Palmas said that the House approved a proposal by his Ministry for cooperation with theMinistry of Defence and EAC for the installation of photovoltaics in the facilities of the National Guard, whether these are military camps or warehouses with a total budget of €19 million. 100% covered by European funds.
"Within the framework of this policy of the Government for clean energy, the Ministry of Defence contributes with its action to this ambitious policy for clean energy in our country", stressed Mr. Palmas.
Replying to a question, Mr. Palmas said that the program will start in September with a horizon of implementation in 2027 and is part of the THALIA program.
