The Registrar General of Elections would like to remind you that the voter booklets of new voters can be found at the offices of the Community Governors of the Communities and Parishes for collection by the voters or their relatives.
The voter booklets will be received by the Community Leaders until Thursday, June 6, 2024, and will then be returned to the Offices of the relevant District Officers, from where interested voters can collect them even on election day.
It is noted that voters who have lost their voter card may apply to the relevant District Officer to replace it, until Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1 p.m.
Therefore, voters are invited to check in time whether they have in their possession and in a safe place their voter book and, in case they lost it, to apply for a new one, by submitting a relevant application with a photo and the amount of €8.54. Application forms can be obtained from the Election Service of the Ministry of Interior, the District Officers' Offices, the Citizen Service Centres, the Citizen Centres (KEPO) at the Cyprus Post and the elections website at elections.gov.cy.
It is reminded that, in order for someone to be able to vote in the upcoming elections, he must be registered in the corresponding electoral roll and, in the case of a Cypriot voter, present at the polling station either his voter booklet or his identity card. Exceptions are trapped voters, who vote with any official document of the Republic, which bears their photo.
Voters of other Member States of the European Union vote for the Elections for Local Authorities by presenting either an electoral booklet or the document on the basis of which they have been entered in the relevant special electoral list and for the Elections of Members of the European Parliament, by presenting the document on the basis of which they have entered in the corresponding special electoral list.
