Milasa (singer-songwriter /classical guitarist) is a unique crossover artiste, blending classical guitar melodies with contemporary songwriting. How does she connect both of these worlds to make such a unique concert? Imagine JS Bach was a singer-songwriter and Ed Sheeran played classical masterpieces, and you get the idea of Milasa’s extraordinary talent! Her technique is excellent, her voice superb and her writing is amazing. Her way of giving equal emphasis to guitar and voice elevates the guitar from merely accompanying the songs to being an integral and equal part of her performance. Milasa performs Baroque masterpieces from JS Bach and Henry Purcell, together with legendary songs from Leonard Cohen and Simon & Garfunkel, and much more, plus exquisite originals songs by Milasa herself. Presented by Music in the Mountains.

Meet Milasa (Yulia Malyasova), singer-songwriter. With a unique and recognisable voice, Milasa seamlessly blends genres such as acoustic, folk, and pop-rock with modern, sophisticated production and arrangements. Milasa performs live her songs as well as covers in her interpretation. After each appearance, she gets positive feedback and inspires the audience. “The voice which touches every string of your soul”, and “Her voice is rich and deep, but in many ways fragile and soft, beautifully expressed, so it fills you with the emotions of her songs”, – are just a few of them. A finalist on a major TV show and active performer in Russia, Denmark, Sweden, and Ireland, Milasa has toured Europe twice and collaborated with musicians from around the globe. A former student of classical guitar at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory, Milasa has completed her studies and now captivates audiences with her live performances of original songs and covers in her own style.
