Cyprus is among the biggest winners according to the Blink Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2024, where it achieved the biggest jump into the top 60 this year. Cyprus was ranked 45th, rising nine places, and this is the first time it appears in the top 50 countries worldwide.
Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos are included in the top 1,000 cities worldwide with significant improvements in their ranking.
Eli David Rokah, CEO of Startup Blink, congratulated Cyprus for its innovative policies that provide significant incentives for the rapid growth of the startup ecosystem.
According to the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Dr. Nikodemos Damianou, "this is a remarkable achievement for our country's dynamic startup ecosystem, which reinforces the effort to promote Cyprus as a regional center of innovation and technology. We are determined to continue actively supporting the innovative entrepreneurship that thrives in Cyprus."
