A fierce fight took place on Thursday night between 50 foreigners in the area of Omonoia, resulting in two of them ending up at Limassol General Hospital with minor injuries.
According to police, the fight took place shortly after 9 p.m. when members of two families from Syria, argued with each other on Vasileos Pavlou Street.
During the fight, two people were injured, one of whom suffered a concussion and was detained for precautionary reasons at Limassol Hospital. The fight also damaged 6 vehicles.
The investigations of the ICF Limassol are ongoing to identify the persons involved, while it is not excluded that arrests will be made soon.

The Famagusta Assize Court today imposed a nine-year prison sentence on a 42-year-old resident of the Famagusta district, after finding him guilty in a homicide case against Nikos Angelis, 34.
According to the Court's findings, on August 29, 2023, the 42-year-old visited Angelis' home to resolve some of their differences. The two men got into a fight, resulting in the 34-year-old's injury.
Angeli was found injured inside his home by his relatives and was transferred to Larnaka General Hospital. Due to the criticality of his condition, he was hospitalized at Nicosia General Hospital, where on September 6, 2023, he succumbed to his injuries.
The case was investigated by the Famagusta ICF.
