ENVIRONMENTALISTS DEMAND WITHDRAWAL OF CANDIDATE CONVICTED OF MURDER OF A DOG

 Filenews 21 May 2024

The withdrawal of a candidate from the Municipal Elections, who was sentenced to three months in prison for molesting and eventually killing a dog, 7 years ago, is demanded by the Green Movement. "In 2017, the dog Tyson escaped the attention of its owner and was found at the Evangelos Florakis naval base in Mari.

The National Guard handed the dog over to the community authority, which instructed the person to transfer him to a stray animal shelter. Instead of taking Tyson to a dog shelter, he drove him to a nearby location, tied him to a tree, abused him, and eventually shot him at close range."
