PAPHOS MUNICIPALITY - WATER
The Municipality of Paphos informs water consumers that it is investigating complaints that have been submitted about high water supply bills. Preliminary, high-consumption bills that have been sent to about 450 substitutes are due to one of the following reasons:
• Human error in recording consumption records.
• After replacing old meters with new smart meters, underground leaks at private residences were detected, which the old water meters did not record.
The Municipal Service examines each case individually and the finding will be presented to the Municipal Council for the appropriate and lawful handling.
The public is informed that the Municipality of Paphos will not cut off water supply to the approximately 450 affected citizens, until a final decision is made by the Municipal Council following the ongoing investigation.
