JUNE ELECTION - MEP's

 in-cyprus 26 April 2024

The government printing office has geared up for elections starting today, printing ballot papers for the June 9, 2024 European Parliament elections, following their approval by the 63 candidates, party coalitions, and independents.

It’s noted that the ballot papers are printed on blue security paper, with a separate numbered column for the coalitions and individual candidates.

The party coalitions are listed alphabetically, with independent parties first, followed by coalition groups, and finally, individual candidates.

Cyprus elects 6 MEPs.

Voting - The voter shall not have the right to vote for candidates from different lists and/or individual candidates, as in such a case the ballot paper will be invalid.

If the voter so wishes, he may express his preference to one or several candidates of his list of choice, by marking a cross or preference crosses inside the small boxes next to the name of each candidate. Preference Crosses should not be more than:
(a) two (2) preference crosses for the election of Members of the European Parliament;
