Flights to and from Israel were affected Lebanon and Jordan due to Iran's attack on Israel on Saturday night, after Israel, Jordan and Lebanon closed their airspaces.
As a result, flights to and from the airports of the three countries were cancelled.
As far as Cyprus is concerned, four flights were affected overnight, one by Wizz Air, one by Royal Jordanian and two by Middle East, which forced the two airlines to divert their flights.
The Wizz Air flight bound for Israel returned back to Luton. He landed at Larnaka airport for refueling. The passengers of the Royal Jordanian flight from Heathrow to Amman, Jordan stayed overnight in hotels in Cyprus. Passengers on two flights from England to Beirut in the Middle East stayed overnight in hotels in Cyprus.
So far, three morning flights that were supposed to go from Cyprus to Israel of Tus Air, Elal and Isr Air have been cancelled.
Flights to and from Israel, Lebanon and Jordan have been cancelled or are expected to be cancelled.
