The police filed a complaint last night against nine owners or managers of leisure centres in Paphos.

In the context of investigating a case of forgery, circulation of a false document, theft and obtaining money by false representations, the Police proceeded yesterday on the basis of a court warrant to arrest one person.
He is a 31-year-old man who was detained to facilitate interrogations.
The case concerns the use of a refuelling debit card (owned by a car rental company), which, without the company's knowledge, was used on 80 occasions at four different petrol stations in Paphos to refuel vehicles that do not belong to that company.
During the investigation of the case, testimony emerged against the 31-year-old, who was identified as the person who refuelled vehicles using the card in question.

In the presence of their parents or guardians, as well as a lawyer, 13 young persons were charged in writing, who were found outside churches, within the framework of an action plan of the Limassol Police Authority, to prevent phenomena observed by the custom of lambratzia.
According to the Police, from 20:30 until midnight, members of the Agios Ioannis police station, the Limassol OPE, the "Z" team and patrols, proceeded to checks at the churches of Archangelos Michael in Monovoliko, Agia Varvara Zakakiou, Apostolou Andreas Mesa Geitonia, Agia Paraskevi in Episkopi and Agios Nikolaos in Kato Polemidia.

Members of the YKAN (Larnaka Unit) proceeded yesterday with the detection and seizure of a quantity of two kilos and 623 grams of cocaine, as well as two kilos and 733 grams of cannabis.
As part of the investigation of the case, the Police proceeded to arrest two persons.
They are a 19-year-old and a 54-year-old woman, who were detained to facilitate interrogations.
The arrest of the above persons was preceded last night in an area of Larnaka, the arrest of the 19-year-old's vehicle for inspection.
During the check, a small amount of cannabis was detected, resulting in his arrest for a flagrant offence.
A court warrant then searched his home in the presence of the 54-year-old, during which a quantity of cocaine weighing two kilograms and 623 grams of cocaine was found, as well as a quantity of cannabis weighing two kilograms and 733 grams of cannabis, as well as four precision scales.

Under questioning, the 21-year-old admitted to committing the above offences and today he is expected to be brought before the Nicosia District Court for a detention order.

A primary school was targeted by masked men in Limassol yesterday afternoon, causing serious damage to several classrooms.
Specifically, according to information, around 16:00 on Friday afternoon while cleaners were in the school grounds, four people entered an open art room and stole boxes and paints.
They then stole a box of paints worth a total of €400 and left.
At 20:00 youths appear to have broken glass of the door to the art gallery, overturned two desks and threw a computer on the floor.
Members of the Police rushed to the spot for on-the-spot examinations. According to the President of the Community of Polemidia, the amount of damage amounts to €700.
