Seven drivers were spotted by members of the traffic police last night driving under the influence of alcohol.
Members of the Pafos Traffic Police carried out checks on dozens of drivers last night and a total of more than 20 complaints emerged for various traffic offences.
Seven of the drivers were found to be driving having consumed alcohol within unacceptable limits.

Members of the Paphos Police Department made five more complaints last night against owners of leisure centres in the tourist area of Kato Paphos.
It was found that they operated without a license, a license to sell alcoholic beverages and a license to broadcast music.
Last weekend, twelve more leisure centres were reported and according to the Pafos police department, the campaign will continue in view of the start of the summer tourist season.

Members of the police stopped for a check last night in Peyia a 26-year-old expatriate who was walking in an area of the municipality.
A search conducted by members of the force found him in possession of a small amount of cannabis, 31 grams, which he said was intended for his own use. He declined to name his supplier.

A car was completely destroyed by an explosion that shook at dawn an area located in Polemidia, Limassol. The scene has been cordoned off by police for investigations and interrogations.
The explosion occurred shortly after three in the morning. According to police, the target of the bombers was a car belonging to a 30-year-old man, which was used in recent days by a 34-year-old relative. The car was parked outside the house where the owner and driver live.
Police investigations determined that the explosion was caused by an improvised high-power explosive device. The explosion caused the Pajero car, still of unknown value, to be completely destroyed.
Members of the Police have cordoned off the scene and are conducting investigations and interrogations to identify evidence and evidence.

Police in Famagusta district arrested a 33-year-old man yesterday as part of an investigation into a drug case.
Specifically, according to the Police, members of the Famagusta YKAN, with the help of members of the Famagusta OPE, conducted yesterday a search with a court warrant at the home of a 33-year-old man in Famagusta district.
When police entered, the 33-year-old allegedly threw a nylon bag containing cannabis weighing one gram and another nylon bag containing one gram of cocaine to the ground outside the window.
In a statement, the Police Communication Branch said that "in his possession was also found another nylon bag with cannabis weighing one gram, as well as the amount of €235 euros, for which he did not give satisfactory explanations as to its origin."
It added: "A search of the suspect's home, where he was previously seen moving, found hidden under grass, a nylon package containing 140 grams of cannabis, 111 nylon packages containing one gram of cannabis each, eight nylon packages containing one gram of cocaine each and 36 ecstasy pills."
It is noted that "all the items found were seized as evidence, while the 33-year-old was arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations."
