Following today's decision of the Council of Ministers, to grant financial assistance to those affected by extreme weather events and the tornado, recorded in the Limassol District on 14 February 2024, the Ministry of Interior lists the amounts that beneficiaries may receive, by category:

Privately owned residences | 80% of the estimated damage to the building, with a maximum amount of €20.000 | Equal to the estimated damage to the building and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €3,000, whichever is less |
Equipment for privately owned residences | Equal to the amount of the estimated damage to the equipment with a maximum amount of €15.000 | Equal to the estimated damage to the equipment and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €3,000, whichever is less |
Holiday rentals | 50% of the estimated damage to the building, with a maximum amount of €15.000 | Equal to the estimated damage to the building and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €3,000, whichever is less |
Rental equipment | Equal to the amount of the estimated damage to the equipment with a maximum amount of €15.000 | Equal to the estimated damage to the equipment and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €3,000, whichever is less |
Business premises | 70% of the estimated damage to the building, with a maximum amount of €30.000 | Equal to the estimated damage to the building and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €5,000, whichever is less |
Equipment of privately owned business premises | Equal to the amount of the estimated damage to the equipment with a maximum amount of €10.000 | Equal to the estimated damage to the equipment and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance, with a maximum amount of €5,000, whichever is less |
Private vehicles | For private vehicles that are not insured against catastrophic events, which are registered and at the material time had a valid registration certificate, third party insurance and MOT or were legally immobilized, financial assistance equal to 75% of the estimated damage will be provided, with a maximum financial assistance of €5,000 per vehicle | For vehicles insured against catastrophic events, financial assistance equal to the estimate and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance will be provided, with a maximum amount of €500, whichever is less |
Commercial vehicles | For private vehicles that are not insured against catastrophic events, which are registered and at the material time had a valid registration, third party insurance and MOT or were legally immobilized, financial assistance equal to 75% of the estimated damage will be provided, with a maximum financial assistance of €10,000 per vehicle | For vehicles insured against catastrophic events, financial assistance equal to the estimate and not greater than the excess waiver of the insurance will be provided, with a maximum amount of €1,000, whichever is less |
