A new incident occurred with a camera operator. A 25-year-old man insulted and threatened a person who is a camera operator. According to Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Nicolaou, a 33-year-old person who is an operator of mobile cameras in a company complained that while he was on the coastal road of Chlorakas for inspection purposes, a vehicle driver stopped, insulted and threatened him. The tests revealed that he is a 25-year-old permanent resident of Cyprus, who is wanted.
According to Nicolaou, in the last three days there have been more than 280 arrests and vehicle checks in the last two nights.
Moreover, in a coordinated operation carried out on Friday and Saturday by the Pafos Police in order to combat noise pollution in the Pafos district, five premises were reported, according to Mr. Nicolaou.
Also, in three cases, speakers and other loudspeakers were confiscated for broadcasting music without the relevant permits.

Police found a minor driver, with two minors as passengers, on Saturday in Paphos, Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations Michalis Nicolaou said. As he said, a sixteen-year-old man was spotted after his vehicle was stopped driving with two young passengers in Paphos on Saturday.
According to Mr. Nicolaou, the vehicle belongs to the driver's father who was summoned for questioning, and the car was detained until the completion of the examinations.
In another case, said Mr. Nicolaou, a 40-year-old professional taxi driver tested positive for a narcotest. In another case, members of the "Z" team stopped for inspection a 33-year-old driver who was in possession of 4.5 grams of cannabis.

Four cases of burglary and theft, committed in recent days in Nicosia, following the arrest of a 24-year-old man for the offence of illegal possession of property, look to be solved.
The 24-year-old was spotted by members of the Police at around 11am today and stopped for inspection, since he resembled the perpetrator of a burglary, committed earlier today, at a café in Nicosia. In his possession, the 24-year-old had an electric bicycle, which resembled the bicycle stolen during the burglary and which was later identified by the café owner as the stolen bicycle.
The 24-year-old was arrested for the offence of illegal possession of property and was taken to the offices of the ICF of Nicosia. Under questioning, he reportedly admitted to committing three other cases of burglary and theft, committed between the dates of 8 and 15 March 2024, in an office, restaurant and home, in Nicosia.

Twenty-one persons residing illegally in Cyprus were identified and arrested yesterday in the districts of Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaka, during a coordinated police operation.
In the operation, held between the hours of 5 a.m. and 12m. Yesterday, in the above districts, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service and the Subdirectorate for the Surveillance of the Green Line and for Dealing with Migration Flows participated.
During the operation, a large number of foreigners were checked. Among them, 21 persons were identified, who were found to be staying illegally in Cyprus and were arrested for a flagrant offence.
The arrested persons were transferred to the HKAM Mennogeia while the procedures for their repatriation have already begun.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year, a total of 2475 persons residing illegally in Cyprus have been repatriated through the removal procedures of migrants residing illegally in Cyprus. The efforts of the Police for the identification and removal of persons residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus continues daily.

A 41-year-old woman who was attacked by an unknown person in the city center filed a complaint with the Police around noon yesterday.
The incident occurred around 10:30 in the morning when the woman was heading to a cafe in the city center to meet her friends and an unknown person approached her, speaking English and saying "Hello baby".
The complainant, because she did not know the specific person, continued on her way, but to her surprise she saw the unknown man grabbing her by the face and holding her mouth trying to kiss her. Immediately she started shouting and calling for help and luckily she received help from a passerby who was passing by.
Immediately after that, the woman went to the police and filed a complaint, giving a written statement.
According to her description, he is a young white man, of normal build, with a blond beard, who spoke English and may be from a European Union country. The Police launched an investigation to locate and arrest the suspect.
