OVERNIGHT WORKS ON THE MOTORWAYS

Overnight works will be carried out tonight, Monday, February 19, until tomorrow morning, on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, as well as on the Paphos-Limassol motorway, with the Police recommending caution to drivers of vehicles travelling on motorways.

On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from 10.00 pm on Monday until 5.00 am tomorrow, Tuesday, 20 February, works will be carried out during which the section of motorway between Moutagiakas interchange and Germasogeia roundabout will be closed in the direction to Limassol. Traffic to Limassol and Paphos will be channelled through the exit to Moutagiaka, Ariadnis Street, the coastal road and Christaki Kranou Street. Work will be carried out to replace overhead information signs.

Also, on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, works are continuing tonight, in the section between Akti Governoriki and Germasogeia, for the repair of safety barriers and the installation of reflective nails / prisms on the motorway.

The works are carried out from 9.00 in the evening, until 5.00 in the morning of the next day, during the days Monday to Thursday. During these periods, one lane is closed at all times and traffic is diverted to the adjacent lane, with appropriate signs. Work began on January 10 and is expected to be completed on February 29.

Night works on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway are currently being carried out at various other points for the installation/replacement of reflective nails
at the motorway junctions.

Work began on 13 February and is expected to be completed on 29 February. They take place from 9.00 in the evening, until 6.00 in the morning of the next day, except Fridays and weekends. During them, one lane in one direction is partially closed only in a length of 500m. approximately and traffic is diverted to the other lane.

On the Paphos-Limassol motorway, in both traffic lanes in both directions to Paphos and Limassol, road maintenance works continue tonight. Traffic is channelled through adjacent motorway exits.

The works are carried out from 8.00 in the evening, until 5.30 in the morning of the next day, except Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They began on January 29 and are expected to end on March 21.

The Police recommend caution to passing drivers of vehicles, who are asked to move at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front and comply with temporary road signs in the areas of road works.
