According to the treating doctors, one of the three children who were hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Makarios Hospital died suddenly of a cardiac arrest, the press representative of OKYPY, Charalambos Harilaou, told KYPE.
The children were found unconscious in the early hours of Wednesday on a boat off Cabo Greco along with 55 other people. Three children were hospitalized at Makarios Hospital and two at Famagusta General Hospital.
According to Mr. Harilaou, the other two girls who are hospitalized in Makarios continue to be in the Intensive Care Unit. "They are in a very serious condition and are being monitored," he said.
In addition, the other two children remain in the Paediatric Unit at Famagusta, while two adults with fractures are being treated at Larnaca General Hospital.
