Two drivers were spotted driving under the influence of alcohol last night and were reported by members of the Paphos Traffic Police who carried out a total of 40 checks to prevent road collisions.
Another 15 drivers were reported for other traffic violations.

The Police arrested two persons, a 33-year-old and a 36-year-old woman, today to facilitate investigations into investigated cases of conspiracy to commit a felony, building burglary and theft, possession of burglary tools, theft and malicious damage, offences committed between the dates 14/2 – 4/6/2023 in the Limassol district.
Specifically, scientific testimony emerged against the above two persons, which was confirmed through Europol. Regarding the 33-year-old for the following six cases investigated and for the 36-year-old for the 1st, 2nd and 6th cases as follows:
· Burglary of a supermarket in Limassol, causing malicious damage and theft of property with a total value of approximately €150,000.
· Burglary of a bakery warehouse in the industrial area of Agios Athanasios and theft of property with a total value of approximately €16,000.
· Burglary of a funeral home in Limassol and theft of property with a total value of €2,145, as well as theft of a hearse, worth approximately €25,000.
· Burglary of an EAC substation in Limassol, malicious damage and theft of property with a total value of approximately €26,000, as well as malicious damage of €6,000.
· Burglary of two abandoned apartments in Germasogeia and theft of a quantity of copper and cables, as well as malicious damage to the electrical installations of the building, of unknown height so far.
· Burglary of two apartments under renovation in Limassol and theft of property with a total value of approximately €3,000.

A decree of exclusion from sports venues was issued on Friday by the Larnaca District Court, to a 24-year-old man, during the registration before the Court, for immediate hearing, of a case concerning the throwing of a firecracker on the pitch of the "Famagusta" stadium, during the football match between the teams Nea Salamina and APOEL, on January 16, which resulted in the suspension of the match.
With the registration for trial of the case concerning the Law on the Prevention and Suppression of Violence in Sports Grounds, the District Court ordered that the 24-year-old defendant be released, with conditions that ensure his presence at the next hearing. At the same time, at the request of the Police, the Court issued a decree excluding the 24-year-old from sports venues until the conclusion of the trial of the case.
The 24-year-old was arrested last Thursday, January 25, by members of the Police, pursuant to a court warrant, after evidence emerged during the investigation of the case.
The case had been investigated by the ICF of Larnaka.
