On Monday 5 February 2024, the photo-labelling system is further extended to the districts of Limassol and Larnaka.
A total of 8 new fixed cameras will operate at the following 4 locations.
Limassol District
Two devices will be activated at the junction of 28th October Avenue and Iakovou Tombazi Avenue.
Two devices at the junction of Amathountos Avenues opposite Arsinoe Hotel.
Two at the junction of Amathountos Avenue and Ariadnis Street.
Already in the Limassol district, four fixed cameras are operating at the intersection of Archbishop Makarios III-Nikos Pattichis and Archbishop Leontios I Avenues and four at the intersection of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and Agia Zoni Avenue.
Larnaka District
In addition, two devices will be activated on a section of the Kition-Mazotos road to control speed.
It is noted that mobile cameras are already used for speed control in Limassol and Larnaka Districts.
The aim is always to reduce serious and fatal road collisions, as well as to consolidate proper road consciousness in our country.
