PAPHOS REGIONAL TOURISM BOARD - ENHANCED BUDGET & ACTION PLAN FOR 2024

 




Enhanced budget and action plan for 2024 by ETAP Paphos. Emphasis on Digitization, Upgrading experiences, Accessibility, Sustainability and Cultural Tourism - creativity A regular session of the Board of Directors of ETAP Paphos was held yesterday, which was from most important of the year since, among other issues, was the approval of the Budget and Action Plan for 2024, examining a host of issues and initiatives interwoven with visibility and overall strategy.

In the 2024 action plan, emphasis continues to be placed on product upgrading and the experience offered, in information digitization and use new technologies and certainly in intensive campaigning and public relations within and outside Cyprus to promote the destination (Pafos District).

Specifically, among other things, the following were considered and decisions were made: • Presentation and approval of the 2024 budget • Presentation and approval of the 2024 Action Plan • Approval of actions to upgrade beaches and beautification of areas/squares mainly in rural communities • Continuation of the collaboration with the University of Neapolis Pafos for the completion of the study highlighting the Myth of Aphrodite throughout the province • Assessment study of the level of accessibility of the destination and preparation of an action plan to improve the current situation • Information about financial programs, National and European and the success in Cosme and Euro med program with a total budget of €600,000 • Completion of the digital campaign to promote the destination in 8 countries spending €200,000 and planning for 2024 • Various informative and current topics

At the same time, the Board of Directors decided that with the new year a new cycle of contacts and meetings with competent ministries and agencies for the running of long-term solutions and problems mainly related to the protection and promotion of archaeological/cultural wealth, with the digital transition and the level of digital adaptation, with the public transportation, safety of bathers, abandonment of the countryside, etc

Also, within the framework of the local government reform, it is expected to meet with clusters and communities to find ways closer cooperation under the new circumstances. Pafos Regional Board of Tourism
