The Municipality of Pafos is proceeding with the naming of new streets, as the Municipal Council approved a list of the names given to new streets of the city that had not yet been named.
In total, 11 names have been approved by the Municipality for this purpose, following the creation of new roads in developing residential areas of the Municipality. The names approved for this purpose are:
Mikis Theodorakis, music composer
Manos Hadjidakis, composer
Helen Ahrweiler, academic, archaeologist
Kyriakos Nicolaou, archaeologist
Lieutenant Nikolaos Katountas, Greek officer during the Turkish invasion
Nikolas Konstantinidis, deceased son of a donor of property in the district of Anavargo
Kalamaria, twinned city with Paphos in Greece
Anzio, twinned city with Paphos, Italy
Herzliya, twinned city with Paphos in Israel
Amman, twinned city with Paphos, capital of Jordan
Alexandria, twinned city with Pafos, Egypt
