Today's hunting trip ended tragically for two brothers and a close relative.
The vehicle in which they were traveling fell into a ravine 50 meters deep in a location of Pomos, where they come from, resulting in the death of one of the two brothers and slightly injured the other two passengers of the fatal vehicle.
28-year-old Lambros Andreou, father of a minor child, is dead, while his twin brother and cousin are injured. The tragedy occurred in the morning at a rural location of the community, when under circumstances investigated by the Police, the vehicle in which the three were travelling fell into the ravine. The accident was noticed by other hunters and bystanders who alerted the authorities.
A large operation by the Fire Brigade and the Police was underway in the area for hours to provide assistance and transfer the three passengers to a hospital. They were transferred to Paphos Hospital where the unfortunate 28-year-old breathed his last, while the health condition of the two other people does not cause concern and one of them has already been discharged from Paphos Hospital.
Investigations into the circumstances of the tragedy are ongoing.
