The Police arrested three minors today, as part of an investigation into a case involving conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal entry, malicious damage and arson. Specifically, 45 minutes after midnight today, the Police received information about a fire at a school in Nicosia. Members of the Police and the Fire Service went to the scene to put out the fire. The fire caused damage to a number of rooms, while further examinations carried out also revealed damage to the windows, possibly from throwing stones.

To facilitate the investigations, regarding the above case, three minors were arrested, who were brought before the Nicosia District Court today, which issued orders for their four-day detention.

The TAE of Nicosia continues the exams.

As part of the investigation of the above case, the Police proceeded to arrest four more minors based on court warrants to facilitate the investigations.

It is recalled that the Police have already initially made three arrests of minors as part of an investigation into a case involving conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal entry, causing malicious damage and arson.

Specifically, 45 minutes after midnight today, information was received to the Police about a fire at a school in Nicosia.

Members of the Police and Fire Brigade went to the scene to extinguish the fire. The fire caused damage to a number of rooms, while further examinations also revealed damage to windows, possibly from throwing stones.

The man who jumped from the balcony of an apartment building in the center of Nicosia is in serious condition but out of danger.

According to the facts, this afternoon members of the Police conducted a search in an apartment building for a case of theft of tools. The man at the sight of the Police and in his attempt to escape, jumped from the balcony of the apartment building resulting in injuries.

An ambulance rushed to the scene and transported the man to Nicosia General Hospital where he is being treated in serious condition but out of danger.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.

Two persons, aged 42 and 38, were arrested in the early hours of today on the basis of court warrants and detained to facilitate investigations into an ongoing case of conspiracy to commit a felony, offences under the Combating Certain Forms of Racism and Xenophobia Law, common assault and false information to a police officer.

Specifically, the above two persons went around 5 yesterday morning to the Central Police Station of Limassol and reported that, while they were in a bakery in Limassol, after a discussion with an employee of the said bakery, according to their allegation, the latter allegedly attacked them without injuring them. The above allegedly asked the members of the Police to make a recommendation to the employee in question.

At around 10.30 in the morning of the same day, a 29-year-old man went to the Minor Offences Department of the Limassol Central Police Station and reported that in the early morning hours, while working in a bakery, he had been attacked by two persons who beat him with their hands on various parts of his body, while according to his claim, He received various racist comments from the persons concerned. The 29-year-old was served with a relevant form with which he visited Limassol General Hospital where he was examined by the on-duty doctor. It was found that he had no obvious external injuries. He was given first aid and discharged.

During the investigation of the two complaints, evidence emerged against the above arrested.
