A 28-year-old man was attacked with a knife by his 21-year-old roommate, according to the complainant's complaint to police.
As the 28-year-old said in his complaint, the two persons had misunderstood for reasons of cohabitation and met to resolve their problem, instead according to the complainant, the 21-year-old retrieved a knife and injured him in the left side.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital where it was found that he had a wound two centimeters deep in the left hypochondrium which was caused by an insula and cutting organ without affecting any vital organ. The injured man was sutured and held as a precaution for hospitalization.
After the incident, members of the Police visited the house where the aforementioned resided in the Germasogeia area for on-site examinations.
The 21-year-old was arrested on a court warrant and taken into custody.
The ICF Limassol continues examinations.

A 63-year-old man is wanted by the Paphos Police to facilitate investigations into an investigated case of extortion of money by false representations.
According to Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nicolaou, it was reported by two persons aged 67 and 70 that between the months of December 2022 and December 2023, a 63-year-old man extorted money from them through false representations.
Specifically, the 67-year-old allegedly extorted €6,500 as a deposit for the alleged purchase of an apartment from foreclosures at better prices. The 70-year-old allegedly extorted €5,000 from the 70-year-old with the promise that he had access to the Licensing Authority and that he could obtain a taxi license.
In both cases, under various pretexts, he allegedly convinced the complainants that he would carry out the above tasks but has disappeared and allegedly embezzled the money they gave him.
Investigations into the case are continuing to locate him.

Africans riding in a small saloon vehicle climbed the pavement on the way to Emba High School, hit an EAC pole which they cut off, abandoned the vehicle in the area and disappeared.
Africans, endangering the lives of unsuspecting civilians, were driving, according to information gathered by the police, recklessly and dangerously.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, deviated from its course, as a result of which he climbed the sidewalk and cut off the pole.
EAC crews rushed to the scene to repair the damage, while members of the traffic police are also searching for the Africans.

Members of the police received a sum of €330 from unexecuted fines last night from three people who were found playing cards in a café on Agapinoros Avenue.
Members of the police, as part of the campaign to crack down on the government, spotted four people in the café playing poker using dice and playing cards.
The manager of the premises was also denounced and cards and dice were confiscated.

Paphos Police arrested a 28-year-old man for causing malicious damage to a flower shop in Paphos amounting to €6,300.
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director of Operations, Michalis Nicolaou, on 12.12.23 at 15:50, information was given to the Police that voices and noises were heard at a flower shop on Agapinoros Street.
Members of the Police went to the scene where they located inside the premises a 28-year-old tourist who was intoxicated and who had allegedly shattered the front glass, entered the flower shop and then caused damage for no apparent reason.
The damage amounts to approximately €6,300. The 28-year-old was subsequently arrested and detained.

Police arrested two women, aged 42 and 27, yesterday to facilitate investigations into ongoing cases of residential theft. At least two cases of theft from elderly people's homes are being investigated against the two arrested.
The two cases were reported to the Police, by an 80-year-old and an 86-year-old resident of Limassol. According to what they said, on the morning of December 8, 2023, they were visited at their homes, by two unknown women, who under various pretexts managed to trick them and steal money.
Specifically, around 10am on December 8, two unknown women visited the 80-year-old's home in Limassol and asked her to cut oranges from the orange tree in her yard. The complainant gave them permission and went out into her yard to help them. One of the women, pretending that she would use the latrine of the house, managed to enter the house alone.
Shortly afterwards, when the two women left the 80-year-old's home, the complainant became aware that her wallet, which contained the sum of €70, credit cards and personal documents, had been stolen.
The second case took place on the same day, in the same area of Limassol. According to an 86-year-old woman, at around 12.30pm, while she was in the living room of her house, two unknown women entered her. After chatting for a while, the complainant went to the kitchen of the house to make them coffee. Shortly afterwards, after the two women left the 86-year-old's home, the complainant found that her wallet was missing. Inside the wallet was the sum of €50 and her personal documents.
Police examinations secured testimony against the 42-year-old and 27-year-old, on the basis of which judicial arrest warrants were issued against them. The two women were located yesterday afternoon in Limassol, arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations.

A 39-year-old driver was spotted speeding in Paphos on Tuesday and was stopped after a chase.
According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos Operations, Michalis Nikolaou, at 10:15 on Tuesday morning, on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, a car that was traveling at 89 kilometers instead of 50 kilometers, which was the permitted limit, failed to stop at the police signal and then sped off to escape.
Then the driver of the vehicle allegedly violated a red signal and was stopped after a short distance and after a chase. As it became clear, the driver of the vehicle was a 39-year-old permanent resident of Cyprus who did not have a driver's license or insurance.
The 39-year-old was accused in writing to be summoned later.
Also as part of an operation to prevent road collisions in Paphos, 25 complaints were made yesterday Tuesday.
