 Filenews 13 November 2023

Increases from raw materials to energy are not only affecting the prices of products on supermarket shelves, but also going out to a restaurant, a café and generally fast food and takeaway food services.

Inflation didn't start this year but became more pronounced as it was preceded by back-to-back increases in 2022 and 2021. The data of the Statistical Service are revealing how expensive prices have become if one wants to go outside his home and enjoy some things, for which until a few years ago he did not care where their prices were. Besides, it is also a topic of discussion among consumers, as inflation has limited outings, especially if they are families.

Prices in fast food and take away food services were up 6.3% in October year-on-year compared to an increase of 12.6% last year and 2.1% in 2021, prices in canteens appreciated 4.6% in October from 7.9% last year and recorded a price decrease of 0.4% in 2021.

Beverage prices were not spared from price increases that are up 11.4% in October compared to 8.7% last year and 1.3% in 2021. Going out is not only eating or drinking but also various other activities.
