By creating a bicycle rental network, the Municipality of Paphos strengthens Sustainable Urban Mobility.
According to an announcement, in the context of promoting sustainable transport and encouraging a healthier and more ecological lifestyle for the city's residents and visitors, the contract between the Municipality of Paphos as the contracting authority and the contractor company Nextbike Cy was signed today, November 20, at the Paphos Municipal Hall Limited, with the object of providing services for a license to use bicycle rental places in various parts of the municipal area.
The contract includes the management of six premises in the wider area of Kato Paphos and five premises in the wider area of the city center of Paphos. In addition, the announcement added, provision is made for the contractor to propose up to two additional rental spaces in these areas, with the exact spaces to be agreed at a later stage.
The contract was signed on behalf of the Municipality of Paphos by Mayor Phaedonas Phaedonos and on behalf of the contracting company by Director Neophytos Ioannou.
The duration of the execution of the object of the contract is five years, with the right of extension for another 3 years from the date of commencement of the Contract.
The amount of the contract amounts to €327.25 including VAT. for the allocation of eleven spaces for the creation of bicycle stations, and an additional €6.54 including VAT. for each additional station, the announcement concludes.
