A total of 202 persons, who resided illegally in Cyprus, left the country last week (11-17/11/2023), as part of the Police's efforts to return third-country nationals to their countries of origin.
In the same context, during the week a joint forced return flight of FRONTEX took place, in which Cyprus also participated for the 12th time this year. The 13th participation of our country in a joint repatriation and deportation operation is scheduled to take place on November 25, 2023.
It is noted that since the beginning of the year 8,385 people, who resided illegally in Cyprus, have been deported.
The efforts of the Police and the Aliens and Immigration Service, to maximize the number of returns, continue.
