Targeted inspections on a Pancyprian basis in Leisure Centres/Cafes were carried out in September by the Inspection Service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, in the context of the effort to combat Undeclared Work and control compliance with Basic Labour Legislation.

In particular, inspections were carried out at 86 premises, where 83 employers and 3 self-employed persons were identified. The total number of workers identified was 458. (271 men and 187 women). In detail, 125 were Greek Cypriots, 168 citizens of the European Union, and 165 foreigners of third countries.
