According to the complaints, the complainants received a call from an unknown cell phone and after they answered, a pre-recorded message, in English, was activated, asking them to dial a specific number so that their call would be transferred to a call center. Subsequently, when the call is answered by the call center, citizens are asked to provide personal information and/or pay a sum of money to settle the alleged crime. The Police, on the occasion of this new form of fraud, once again calls on citizens to be especially careful and not to answer or respond to what may be asked of them, in similar telephone calls.
