Regarding the prevention of
corruption and the promotion of integrity in Central Governments (top
executive functions) and Law Enforcement agencies In the context of the evaluation of Cyprus for the Fifth Round of GRECO, which took place in Lefkosia on 12-16 December 2022, the Evaluation Report of Cyprus was adopted on 9 June 2023. The report is published today, 2 October 2023, simultaneously, on the website of the Law Office of the Republic www.law.gov.cy and the website of the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO) https://www.coe.int/en/web/greco This Fifth Evaluation Round of
GRECO concerns the prevention of corruption and the promotion of integrity in
Central Governments (top executive functions) and Law Enforcement agencies. In the context of its
evaluation, GRECO addresses to Cyprus 22 Recommendations: 13 Recommendations
regarding the Central Governments (Section A) and 9 Recommendations regarding
Cyprus Police (Section B). According to Regulation 30.2.
of GRECO’s Procedural Rules, the Cypriot Authorities are obliged to submit a
report on the measures taken to implement the said Recommendations by 31st
December 2024.
