The bad habit of some strangers poaching hares during the night on four-wheeled motorcycles almost ended in tragedy.

More specifically, last night, members of the Game Service who were on patrol in an area of the community of Kouklia at about 22:20 noticed suspicious movements of two four-wheeled motorcycles in a rural area.

The members of our Service, without being noticed, approached the place where the motorcycles were moving and when their motorcycles approached, the gamekeepers signalled to the drivers of the two motorcycles to stop, resulting in the first motorcycle, in the attempt of its driver to escape, overturning and its driver, who seems not to have been injured, to run away while the driver of the second motorcycle made a U-turn and moved in an unknown direction.

The Kouklia Police Station was called to the scene, members of which are investigating the whole incident. It is noted that the four-wheeled motorcycle that overturned does not bear registration numbers and has been confiscated.
