The Pafos Police are taking a series of measures to tackle noise pollution in the tourist area of Agios Antonios and beyond, but also to maintain safety in the area of Kato Paphos, according to the spokesman of the Paphos Police Authority and Head of the Pafos ICF, Michalis Nicolaou.
In statements to CNA, Mr. Nicolaou said that on a specific street there are premises for the entertainment of young people and noise pollution is observed very regularly, while it is not uncommon for the Pafos Police to be called for fights. Therefore, he continued, the Pafos Police takes many measures on a daily basis, especially during this period when tourist traffic is increased.
Every night, he continued, the members of the Pafos Police Force conduct foot and motorized patrols, while during weekends patrols are reinforced with the MMAD, in order to safeguard the specific road and area, as he said.
