The Statistical Service (CYSTAT) publishes an Infographic on “National Accounts 2022”. The preliminary results of National Accounts for the year 2022, which were published by CYSTAT on 21 April 2023, indicate Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of €27.006,4 mn at current prices compared to €24.019,0 mn in 2021. The growth rate in real terms is estimated at 5,6% in 2022, compared to 6,6% in 2021. Regarding the production
approach for the estimation of GDP, “Trade” is the sector with the highest
percentage contribution of Gross Value Added by economic activity in GDP
(11,4%), followed by the sectors of “Financial Services” (10,2%) and
Information and Communication” (9,0%). “Private final consumption”
amounting to €16.565,2 mn at current prices, is the main category resulting
from the estimation of GDP from the expenditure approach. Furthermore, during
the estimation of GDP by category of income, “Compensation of employees” is
